Update and Needs of Mentors Care in your community!!

We exist and make a difference, because of YOU!!!!

Heritage High School has taken in 7 new students over the last two weeks and was able to find mentors for every one of those students.   Currently, 2 students may join this week.  If they do, we will need 2 mentors (preferably male, they are both male students) ASAP.   A couple of churches that donate food, but it would help if we could get some cases of water donated.   That seems to be a bigger demand at times than the snacks.

If you are interested in contacting Sean Byars to learn more about becoming a mentor or to assist with the needs Sean mentioned, please contact him at (469) 658-1709 or email sean.byars@mentors.care

Midlothian High School needs some supplemental snacks, like mac n cheese or ramen noodle cups. We could use some bottled water. And we are always looking for mentors!! We can get you going with a kiddo this year and for sure next year!

Maypearl High School currently has 32 kids participating in the mentoring program this year. We have several students who could benefit from being in the program but aren’t enrolled because we don’t have enough mentors. Our goal is to add 10 or more caring adults in the community who would like to become mentors next year. Another need that we currently have is snacks for the students. We had a church donate enough for the whole 1st semester but the students  have gone through them and we are now almost out. We have roughly 40 students come in each week and they are able to take 2-3 snacks each day. If you are able to help us with this need, we would appreciate and welcome the donation.
