Betty Tryon joined the Mentors Care Board as an Advisory Board Member in 2017. She wanted to be involved with Mentors Care’s mission of encouraging at-risk high school students to graduate and to motivate them towards a better future.
Betty graduated from Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with a major in Nursing and practiced in that field for thirty years. In 2005 she began a second career as a writer and Community Editor of Midlothian Now Magazine.
She is currently retired from both professions and now assists her husband in his nationwide ministry involving the Book of Proverbs. They are very involved in the lives of their three children and three grandchildren.
