Dear Friends of Mentors Care,

As I reflect on the journey of Mentors Care, one word comes to mind: I am proof. Proof that compassion and dedication can transform lives. Proof that a caring adult can be the difference between despair and hope for so many students. The theme for this year, Proof that Mentors Care, perfectly captures what our incredible mentors are doing every single day for the struggling students they work with.

Our mentors are more than just role models—they are lifelines. They are there when no one else is, offering a listening ear, a kind word, or just showing up consistently when a student needs them the most. Sometimes, the smallest gestures—asking "how are you doing?" or reminding a student that they are capable—create monumental changes in a young person’s life. And that’s the proof we see over and over again: that a mentor’s care makes all the difference.

The need for our program is greater than ever as we expand into new schools and communities, reaching students who desperately need someone to believe in them. But we can't do it alone. Your support helps us grow, train new mentors, and give more students the opportunity to thrive.
